Plane found safe after seven feared missing men
Timmins Ont March 19 Seven men feared lost in a cabin monoplane between Timmins and Toronto were found alive near their damaged craft. They suffered only slight injuries, first reports said. The plane was piloted by Ernest Levine. Six prominent Timmins citizens including a priest were aboard. They left Toronto after a hockey game and were not heard from until today.

Mrs. Mary Shaffer aged 79 was shaken and bruised when a car driven by her son Stephen Shaffer collided with Dennis Ryan’s vehicle at Lodi and Broad streets. She was taken to Memorial hospital for examination and later released home. Bandits Hold Up Cleveland Gas Station Overnight
Three armed men aged 21 to 25 robbed the In Speed gas station on Cleveland Street around 3 a.m. They took $62 from Lumadue and $58 from John Valentine, then fled in a Cleveland-registered car before grabbing L C Raumhardt’s vehicle. They tore the telephone from the wall and abandoned the getaway car on Ohio Street. The station, open all night, has faced earlier robberies in recent weeks.

Alvah BE Gibson died at his home north of Oberlin at nine this morning after a long decline. Born August 1, 1846, he was among Russia Township’s last pioneers. He married Maria Schwartz October 18, 1870. she died March 5, 1981.
