The city eyes a $700 000 loan for preliminary engineering to widen East Broad Street from two to three lanes downtown to Abbe Road and to five lanes from Abbe Road to Route 57. Council approval pending in the proposed budget as Route 57 work starts in June and aims to wrap by October 2009.
