Elyria Man Charged in Store Clerk Rape and Kidnapping
Elyria police charged Kenneth E. Houser, 18, of 142 Cleveland St, with two counts of rape a kidnapping after he allegedly forced a 22-year-old Lawson's Store clerk into his car at 128 Lake Ave drove to a Lorain Boulevard motel where he raped her and later drove her to a deserted side street where he tried to strangle her. The clerk escaped and Houser was jailed for burglary at the time of his arrest.
