Marine from area dies in Vietnam search mission
John Herbert Snitch a 19 year old Marine radio operator from Sheffield Lake died of wounds from a premature fragmentation grenade during a search and destroy mission in Quang Gnai Vietnam. He graduated Brookside High School in 1966 sang in the school choir and was close to Eagle Scout rank. He leaves a twin sister a brother two other brothers and parents Mr and Mrs Leonard Snitch of 755 Howell St. His body will be brought home for burial in about two weeks.
