CEI Generates Excess Power, PUCO Finds Excess Capacity
PUCO expert William Fox says The Cleveland Electric Illuminating Company can produce more electricity than needed, citing 587 megawatts of excess capacity from the Davis-Besse plant and 466 of 906 MW from Port Clinton. The finding follows a PUCO staff restudy of CEI's proposed rate increase of over 50 million dollars annually and a call to exclude Construction Work In Process from the rate calculation.

AmShip unions resume talks after seven months
