Avon Lake widow awarded 50000 crime victim award

Mrs. Aileen Griffith of Avon Lake received the maximum 50000 crime victim award under Ohio law after her husband William Griffith, 47, was killed December 8, 1977, at the Old Venice Bar in Cleveland. The shooter, serving a life sentence, was linked to a prior racial incident.
