County extension agent notes rise in farming record keeping
The county agricultural extension agent reported that 32 farmers have started keeping farm account books for the new year and more than 35 are expected to join. Most who kept accounts last year will continue, reflecting growing awareness of detailed records. Some Lorain County farmers have kept records for six to seven years, finding them increasingly valuable. The drive is linked to the Agricultural Adjustment Administration program and the Production Credit Association project, which require such information from applicants.
