A school bus and a tractor trailer collided at Chestnut Street and Lake Avenue in Elyria as students headed to Ely School. All four students on board were unharmed. minor damage required an estimated 800 to 1000 dollars for a tie-rod tire and door repair.
Olmsted Falls firefighters face a bee swarm inside the station. Service Director Christopher Minarik and Service Supervisor Ken Knuth called in a beekeeper who advised the bees are temporarily out of their nest and will return with colder weather.
The Elyria Knights of Columbus hosts a St Patrick's Day Fling at K of C Hall 118 Kipling St on Saturday from 7 p.m. to 12 30 a.m. A corned beef and cabbage dinner and potatoes precede music by Timepeace at 8 30 p.m. Donations are 10 per person with tickets at the hall.

Two Northeast Ohio fiber artists Karin Bartimore and Laura Rowell Walsh exhibit March 18 to April 7 at Firelands Association for the Visual Arts in Oberlin. The invitational features Bartimore wood and fiber sculptures and Walsh geometric hammocks.
