Missing diamond dealer found dead in Poconos
New York police report a 27 year old Indian national Satya Naran Gupta who vanished on Friday while en route to meet a buyer. His body was discovered 70 miles west of New York on a Mount Pocono snow trail, in a sleeping bag with mouth and eyes taped, hands bound, and strangled by his own tie. Police identified him after a Daily News photo clue.

Ex-convict workers quit after drug case link revealed
WOOD RIVER, Ir. (UPI) Robert L. Russell Jr., owner of two barge lines, said about 10 employees quit in three weeks. He had hired former convicts from jail, and later learned the newspaper had identified another Robert Russell as an informant in a drug case.
