Winning streak lifts North Olmsted to SWC title run
North Olmsted, after a slow start and a two game deficit, captured the Southwestern Conference basketball title for 1971-72 through December 10. The Eagles, 15-4 overall and 12-2 in league, won 13 straight games highlighted by Medina, Bay and Westlake, with top scorers Mike Harrison and Dave Gibbons leading the attack. Gibbons, Gerlach, and Harrison are set to return next season, boosting hopes for another title chase.
