Walter Annenberg plans to donate his entire collection of over 50 paintings and watercolors to the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The gift would be the museum’s largest in over five decades for French Impressionist and Post-Impressionist art. The former U.S. ambassador to London turns 83 on Wednesday.

Gulf War Soldiers Likelier Not To Spark Baby Boom
Hundreds of thousands of U.S. soldiers in the Persian Gulf after the war expect to reunite with spouses and partners. Fertility experts say a baby boom akin to the post World War II era is unlikely, noting these troops are older, often already married, and long separations are not likely to alter total U.S. birth numbers. Military staffers like Army Sgt Ignatious Montgomery of Mobile, Alabama voiced hopes of family growth upon return.
