Metal rider body of man identified in Ohio
The bullet riddled body found in a snow drift near Dike Village was identified as Samuel Volpe of Canton Ohio by brother in law De Mario and relatives. Police questioned four others linked to De Mario as Volpe had been missing since January 24 or 25. An autopsy was planned and authorities sought the anonymous letter writer claiming knowledge of a murdered man. Volpe had been shot three times in the back and both legs, all shots fired from behind.

Unknown cause of fatal Lorain railroad wreck remains unsolved

Amherst Tragedy Claims Bodman In Route Crash
Arthus Bodman 23, son of Mr and Mrs Henry Bodman, was killed when a high powered roadster struck a guard rail near Lake Huron at 12 90 morning while returning from Rye Beach. Walter Miller 20, son of Mr and Mrs Jacob Miller, survived with a fractured left arm and a cut cheek. Bodman belonged to Knights of Columbus Elyria and St Josephs Catholic church. Miller was admitted to Banduns ky hospital and is expected to recover. Bodman’s body was taken to Amherst today.
