Wellington public affairs board approves 4.8 percent raises
Wellington workers will get a 4.8 percent cost of living raise in their first April paycheck after the Public Affairs Board decision on Tuesday. Four electrical linemen will receive merit raises. The board approved $450 for utilities office staff to attend a budgetary accounting seminar in Dayton, $850 for Water Department head Kenneth Farnsworth to attend the American Water Works Association conference in Cincinnati, and $500 registration for Municipal Utilities Director Robert Dupee and Electrical Superintendent Dick Williams to attend the American Municipal Power Association spring conference in Hudson. Dupee plans CAD mapping training for two employees at the University of Akron, with about $5,000 to install the system here.
