Jurors Question Nichols Death Penalty Conviction

In McAlester Oklahoma forty two jurors in Nichols death penalty case were asked if they could sentence him to death by injection if convicted of 161 counts of first degree murder. Judge Steven Taylor oversaw questioning as selection aims for 12 jurors and six alternates. The trial may take over three months and concerns remaining state charges for 160 victims and one unborn fetus. Nichols already serves a life sentence for federal murder convictions in the 1995 Murrah Building bombing that killed 168 people.
