Blue Cross offers low cost plan for laid off workers
Blue Cross of Northeast Ohio and Medical Mutual announce a one year protection plan for laid off workers whose group hospitalization has expired. Rates are 24.79 per person and 49.60 per family monthly with a 1500 in hospital deductible and 1000 per person for medical and surgical expenses. Coverage up to 250000 per person with catastrophe protection. Enrollment runs until December 31 with initial enrollment ending April 15. Eligible workers must apply within 30 days of old coverage ending and provide a layoff letter from employer.
