Leader of the Pack rocks Lake Ridge Academy spring musical
Samantha Potoczak stars as Ellie Greenwich in Leader of the Pack at Lake Ridge Academy with 45 students in the cast. The show runs tonight through Saturday at 7 30 in Bettcher Convocation Center despite snow and flood disruptions. Greenwich wrote and performed songs later recorded by The Beach Boys and other stars. she died in 2009 at age 68. Donations accepted at the door.

Lorain shooting case tied to Lorenzana and alleged gang crackdown
Police said officers were after Lorenzana during a shooting in Lorain that delayed doors opening. Five others, Nathan Patfield, Kacy Thorpe Jr, Brenda Wali maki, Artra McLemore, and Bill Quillen, were charged with obstructing justice. Lorenzana has a lengthy arrest history including a 2009 shooting death and a home invasion, with many charges later dropped or pled to misdemeanors. He is also tied to an alleged plan for a December 27 Shell gas station robbery in Lorain, though no indictment yet.
