Two Proposals To Be Considered By Merchants

Merchants will review two proposals at a general meeting in the Elyria Chamber of Commerce offices called by N. M. Fitch. One proposal seeks Wednesday afternoon store closures year round, replacing seasonal closures. The other endorses a new sanction agreement to replace the 1925 pact, with the Elyria Board of Trade long dissolved. The committee urges merchants to study the draft and submit opinions by meeting or mail, noting the agreement would govern advertising and contributions to churches, schools, lodges, clubs and other organizations.
