LNB Bancorp Proposes 3 Percent Stock Dividend

Directors propose a 3 percent stock dividend at the quarterly meeting with shareholders voting April 16. A 20 cent per share cash dividend, payable April 1 to record holders March 15, would total $186,341.40 to 1,315 shareholders. 1984 net income was $2.055 million as of year end. Lorain National Bank operated 13 offices in Lorain and nearby cities. Total deposits reached $205.891 million and resources $237.940 million.

Elyria Man Arrested in Gas Station Robbery Attempt

Elyria police arrested Roy Lee Arnett, 24, of 807 Middle Ave., on charges of aggravated attempted robbery after a clerk identified him from photos related to an attempted robbery at Clark Oil and Gas Station on Lake Avenue. The incident involved an assault on the attendant and an attempt to take cash.
