Weather outlook for the Midwest to Gulf coast
Snow will fall over the upper Mississippi Valley changing to freezing rain southward through the Ohio Tennessee valley and into the mid Gulf coast. Clear to partly cloudy elsewhere. Tonight cloudy with a low in the upper 30s. Saturday rain possible with highs near 50 and precipitation chances 10 percent tonight and 80 percent Saturday. Winds south to southeast 10 to 15 mph later today and tonight.

Weekend Rain Rolls In With Warmer Lows Expected
The forecast calls for rain Sunday and Monday with fair weather on Tuesday. Highs range from the upper 40s to upper 50s Sunday, drop to the lower 40s or lower 50s by Tuesday. Lows start in the 40s Sunday, fall to the upper 20s to mid 30s by Tuesday morning.
Floods recede after long Ohio River surge
About 200 evacuees from New Richmond and Manchester spent the night in elementary schools. Fire Chief Frank Tolle said no one was hurt and described it as the worst flood since 1964, affecting a 12 block by three block area in Adams County village of 2,200 as officials surveyed damages.
