Industrial park drive fuels LaGrange growth push
Lorain County commissioners annexed 64.6 acres in LaGrange Township into LaGrange to clear the way for water and sewer service for a 50 acre industrial park. R.A. West Land Development aims a second park along Route 301, with plans for a 20,000 square foot sheet metal plant and potential 100 new jobs. Nearby firms already operate on East Commerce Drive including Inserveo and Star Lite Triple T Roller Rink. Critics warn of sprawl while brownfield incentives discussion gains momentum through Rep. Sherrod Brown. Also last year Union Station annexed 173 acres for a $100 million, 300 acre development with homes, condos, and a golf course.
