NJ sisters sew 1800 gowns for hospitalized kids
Giada Demma inspired 13 year old Giuliana and 11 year old Audrina Demma to sew and donate over 1,800 colorful hospital gowns to children in 36 states and Uganda. The project, funded by donations and a $3,000 Bucks Foundation grant, uses volunteers and a Clifton linen company for free cleaning. The sisters also stitch pillows and now add zipper T shirts for infusion access, sending care packages with toys to recipients and sharing smiles despite illness.
