Retirement still fuels ex Elyrian's Florida orange grove life
Fra George R Hobbs, 79, retired in 1951 but keeps busy in Parrish Florida tending 440 orange trees and a grapefruit front yard. He built his pump house and almost all furniture for their home, crafting a walnut and mahogany inlaid table from 2500 pieces. The Hobbs say their move from Elyria and Portage County proved the best choice, embracing a working retirement with garden, craft, and grove duties.
