Newly Remodeled Sudro-Curtis Funeral Home Open for Inspection
Lorain County's oldest funeral home, Sudro-Curtis in Elyria, marks 82 years with Harvey C. Curtin joining William C. Sudro in partnership and a major remodel. Public days feature a musical program by Ruth Adams, Algena Adams, and Wolcott of LaGrange. The facility now seats 450, includes air conditioning, a four-car heated garage, and an ambulance dedicated to service. Sudro, active since 1907, served in World War I and later bought the business from Carl Friday in 1919. Curtis, with 15 years at Sudro, becomes partner after completing embalming studies and state exams.
