Elyria woman gets two years community control in laundromat robbery
Mallory Davenport, 39, pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery and felonious assault plus assault and received two years of community control ending June 18, 2027. The plea canceled a July trial. Davenport and Laurence Carr targeted a South Side Laundromat on 818 Middle Ave, stealing two bags after assaulting an employee and a bystander. Carr faces 4 to 54 years in prison after separate convictions.

Identified couple in Sheffield Lake murder suicide
Lorain County police say Scott Liles and Shari Liles were found dead at their Cove Beach Avenue home after a gunshot wound to Shari and a self inflicted shot by Scott.
