Amherst crash kills Elyria man as passenger injured

William Sharpe, 22, of 1264 East River Road died at Amherst Hospital after a dealer owned convertible left North Main Street near Habant Street at 11 pm Saturday. Passenger David Wert, 26, suffered head cuts and was treated and released. Wert and an Amherst officer attempted revival at the scene.

Akron man killed in two car pike crash near Amherst

67 year old Willie Lewis of Akron died from a skull fracture at Amherst Hospital after a two car crash in front of the Middle Ridge Turnpike Plaza Saturday at 5 46 pm. His wife Bernice Lewis and passenger Robert Bradon were reported in good condition at Amherst Hospital. Morris Asmuen of Cleveland pulled from the berm into Bradon's path. Asmuen and his wife Esther were not injured and Asmuen was charged with improper entering of a traffic lane.

Oberlin Driver Charged With Triple Homicide By Vehicle

Charles R White, 24, of Oberlin is charged in municipal court with three counts of first degree homicide by vehicle after a two car crash on Russia Road and Oberlin Road last Thursday. He posted 5000 bond and has a preliminary hearing August 1. Victims include Albert Pretzer Jr 40 and his daughters Debbie 13 and Julie McKenzie 13.
