Avon council split session over water line charge error

Avon night meeting recessed then resumed on a disputed special water line assessment. Mrs. Tomes claimed an error in the 96 foot charge vs 530 feet, with interest accruing about 24 dollars and annual installments of 1.25. Engineers Snyder firm and Mayor Gates faced questions as the audience watched.

Project Ideas Sought By Carlisle 4H Club

Carlisle 4H members met at Richard Reinders’s home to read and approve the constitution. Twelve members attended and were asked to propose ideas for a community project. A Wiener roast followed the meeting. The next gathering is July 5 at Lynn Miller’s home.
