Vietnamese Troops Storm Thai Border in Major Clash
Hundreds of Vietnamese units crossed the Thai Cambodian border near Nong Chan Non Mak Mun and Kok Sung led by artillery and rocket fire. Thai forces counterattacked with heavy artillery air support and two gunships driving Hanoi troops back into Cambodia. Casualties among Thai troops and refugees were described as very high while hospitals in Aranyaprathet reported countless injured.
