Brother hunted after Lorain shooting ends in death
Cresencio Espinoza 33 of 1816 East Twenty-ninth Street died at St Joseph's Hospital after a shooting in front of his home. Police seek his brother Gregorio Espinoza 1846 East Twenty-ninth Street, suspected shooter. The attack at 1 30 a m left Espinoza with a chest wound and abdomen wound. a neighbor pursued the suspect before being fired upon. Witnesses Frank Fisher and Jesus Rosale reported the event to Lorain police. Coroner M E Perry said motive is unknown.

Hoover Warn Congress On Pending World War Veterans Pension Bill
Washington June 23 Senate Republicans in conference could not agree on backing President Hoover in opposing the World War Veterans Pension Bill. The measure, to be voted on under a unanimous consent agreement, would raise veterans expenditures by 181 million dollars next year. Hoover warned that higher taxes would be needed to cover the cost and urged Congress to veto the bill.

Youthful prisoner escapes Boston jail after locked‑in feat
Vic tor Stanwhite a 17 year old Dorchester youth nicknamed 3X claimed to be a murderous maniac but officials found no such alias. He was jailed for holdup with a pawnbroker when he escaped from a padded cell using guard keys. Seventy five inmates saw the escape in a historic breakout.

Father Patrick O'Brien Dies in Toledo at 86
Rev. Father Patrick O'Brien, 86, longtime priest of the Roman Catholic diocese, died Sunday in St. Vincent hospital Toledo of heart disease. Born in Piltown Ireland he came to America in 1857 settling in Elyria. He served in the Civil War, studied for the priesthood at St Marys Cleve land and Louisville, and was ordained July 21 1872. He held multiple pastorates including St Columba Youngstown St Marys Rockport Good Shepherd Toledo St Patricks Cleveland and made a Rome Palestine pilgrimage before returning to Good Shepherd amid ill health.
