Senate clash over Iraq war tests party lines
Democrats and Republicans clashed in the Senate over two war withdrawal proposals. Aimed at pressuring Bush on troop drawdown, one measure would order a full pullout by July 31, 2007, while the other favors phased redeployment this year. Votes are set for today as Democrats seek unity and public support shifts.
