Wellington Man Struck By Car While Flagging Work

E. T. Reese president of the Elyria Business College died at his home at 112 Water Street at 8:05 pm Sunday after a two year illness. Born May 28, 1878 in Van Wert County Ohio he came to Elyria in 1916 to lead the college after teaching at Metropolitan Business College Chicago and at McKeesport and Beaver Falls Pa. He attended Ohio Northern College and was an associate member of the Ohio Business College Association. Surviving are his widow Mildred Reese two sons Thomas L and Robert S Reese both of Elyria two daughters Mrs Leonard Sorrell of Elyria and Mrs Elbert A Conner of West Palm Beach Fla and four grandchildren Funeral services Wednesday at 2 pm from Sudro Curtis Funeral Home with Dr James Sivard officiating burial in Brookdale Cemetery Friends may call at the funeral home.

Two Men and Boy Found Safe In Canadian Waters
Lorain men Thomas Duko 28 Herman Burke 27 and 16 year old Charles Genline Sheffield Lake were missing after a 24 foot speed boat drifted for about 30 hours. They were found near Hen Island in Canadian waters by a local boatman who ferried them to safety after they ran out of gasoline. They had departed Lakeside at 7 p m Thursday and planned to return by 7 a m Friday. Coast guardsmen launched a search when they did not return.

Roscoe Ellis Clark of Cleveland, driver, was fined 10 dollars and costs for reckless driving and having no license. Child Bitten by Dog on Gates Avenue
Three and a half year old Robert McRae of 228 Gates Avenue was severely bitten on the face by a dog owned by Cliff C. Hennings of 210 Gates Avenue Sunday evening. The laceration required four sutures and narrowly avoided the eye. The mother said the boy was passing the Hennings home when the dog leaped at him. The dog was on a long leash tied to the front porch.
