Julius and Ethel Rosenberg were executed at Sing Sing, 16 000 volts delivered in multiple shocks. They died for allegedly leaking atomic bomb secrets to Russia and refused to reveal details. The couple faced death with defiance, kissing a prison aide before death.
Lucille Williams 40 of Cleveland 2430 East 59th street was hospitalized at Elyria Memorial at 3 am for possible internal injuries after a car she rode in crashed into the rear of a car driven by August Casper 50 of Ridgeville. Bobo Williams 51 suffered lacerations and knee abrasions. Casper stopped for a left turn on Route 20. Another collision on Route 20 near Elyria involved Carl Knapp 30 and Franklin Muller 42 with undisclosed injuries.
Clerk of Courts H E Agate announced the eight persons summoned for Common Pleas Court Jury service on June 23. The names are Jack Brown Joseph Katkic John Maracick Richard Schmidt Lorain Roy Current Alfred Weber Avon Lake Thomas Woodings Sheffield Lake Walter Wildenheim Graiton.
Aliss Berloh Tene Jordan, 19, of Fire Brook, died Friday in a Portsmouth hospital from injuries suffered in a May 26 traffic accident in South Portsmouth Kentucky.

Henry R. King 29 of Lorain reported a delayed dynamite blast near Elyria avenue a mile north of Route 254 showered rocks and dirt on his convertible injuring him his son William and a dog. The Mural and Sea Construction Co was named in the sheriff's report. King and his son planned to see their family doctor for treatment.

The car belonged to the driver’s father.
Cairo reports the Egyptian people welcomed the new republic as Gen Mohammed Naguib and his cabinet were sworn in and held their first meeting in the former throne room of King Farouk amid cheers.
In Honolulu Jack W Hall head of the International Longshoremen’s Union and six others were found guilty of conspiring to overthrow the government. A protest strike followed with nearly 2000 longshoremen marching nationwide.
Norris Ryder secretary-manager of the Elyria Chamber of Commerce was elected president of the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Ohio at the three day convention. Harry R. Hall was named vice president and A. C. Patterson became secretary treasurer. The afternoon workshop covered parking systems and land purchases for Elyria, with George Grady and Carl Berg presenting. A luncheon at noon marked the final gathering at the Graystone Hotel.
The Allies lost 19 jets last week including the Starfire night fighter, the worst weekly loss in Korea since the war began. Communist jets also totaled at least 19 losses with four more destroyed and 15 damaged. Australian Meteor and three US F-84s were shot down or damaged, plus Sabrejets, Starfire, and other fighters lost to various causes.
Ray Baker aged 46 from Wellington escaped serious injury when his tractor was struck by a New York Central Railroad bus on Quarry road near Jones road. The bus driven by Tony Christina of Crestline tried to pass and split the tractor in half. Baker received abrasions and hip injuries and was to be treated locally. Christina was cited by the State Highway Patrol for reckless operation of a vehicle.
Supreme Court Justice William O. Douglas, in Pittsburgh to resume a Westward trip, offered no comment to reporters after returning from the Roshebberg case and declined to discuss the matter.

Severe storms and tornadoes struck the Midwest with winds up to sixty mph from Missouri to Iowa and Kansas. A small tornado damaged two barns near Whiting Kansas while unconfirmed twisters were reported in Vernon Texas and Craig Missouri as cooler air began to move in, promising relief from a record heat wave.
Scott Haritsel aged 29 of Lorain road, A or, was treated at Elyria Memorial Hospital for a bullet wound to his right forearm. He said the rifle discharged when it fell from a car bumper while he was hunting woodchucks near Sullivan. A sheriff department record cites the incident.

In Lorain Ohio production returned to normal at the Fruehaut Trailer Company after a 33 hour unauthorized strike ended late Friday. The union and company denied rumors of a cost of living clause cut and workers agreed to return to their jobs and all shifts resumed by Friday night.
A 22-year-old American student, Rudolf Kass of Cedarhurst, N Y, a Free University of Berlin student in the Allied sector, is missing in East Berlin since Wednesday’s anti Communist riots and is believed held by Red police, according to American officials.
