Peacocks Roam Brownhelm Yards As Man Keeps 17 Birds
Bud Fiebach of Brownhelm Township keeps about 17 peacocks on his front lawn near Vermilion. He began peacock farming after a neighbor in Oberlin inspired him, building a large roost, winter heater, and a diet of chicken scratch and occasional insects. The birds roam near roads and gardens, yet eggs and birds could be sold to interested buyers including a local mail carrier.
