Ridgeville Man Killed in Train Van Collision
Ridgeville resident Mozena 41 died after his Sears van was struck by a freight train at a Conrail crossing on Coen Road near Vermilion Township. He had been at his Lorain Road home, rebuilding after a New Year’s Eve fire. The crash occurred at 11 a.m. and Mozena was flown by Eagle Life Flight to Lorain Community Hospital, where he died at 12:30 p.m. Coroner awaiting official cause.

Cleveland man critically injured by tractor-trailer on I-90
Jeffrey Robinson, 26, of Cleveland, was struck by a rig while walking along I-90 in Sheffield Village. Found by village police at 11 49 p m, he was taken to St Joseph Hospital in critical condition with a fractured leg and neck injuries. He was admitted to the ICU after treatment.

A 15 year old boy, Robert Given of 41979 W Rambler Elyria, was hit by a northbound car driven by Jack McCloud 21 of 2361 Frankfort Lorain while crossing West River at Foxhill Lane around 12 45 p m Wednesday. Given was treated at Elyria Memorial Hospital for minor injuries. McCloud skidded over 100 feet and knocked Given about 20 feet. McCloud was cited for reckless operation. a passenger was uninjured.
