ONeill Pushes Road Upgrades for Northeast Ohio
Gov. C William ONeill urged rapid highway improvements for industrial Northeast Ohio during a Youngstown tour with state Highway Chief Charles Noble. He pressed for a tough points based driver license system and harsher penalties to curb unsafe driving while pledging to push the plan through the Legislature. Local officials were expected to support stronger enforcement and better road conditions as part of the state’s largest public works program.
