Mosier repeal bar sought via Supreme Court filing
Ohio politics report that Senator Harold G Mosier announced plans to file a petition with the Supreme Court of Ohio to bar a fall referendum on the Mosier bill after dry petition filings with the Secretary of State. The Anti-Saloon League will file Wednesday. The Mosier measure would elect a 52 member at large repeal convention and claim itself a referendum. The Missouri repeal machinery ruling and related actions are cited. In Akron a fatal crash and injuries followed a two car collision near Sawyerwood roads. In Findlay executives and visitors toured Ohio Oil Company lands and hosted a sixth annual golf party. Also Findlay hosted one hundred unemployed marchers heading to Columbus to press state lawmakers. In Columbus representatives of the Ohio Petroleum Marketers Association planned a Chicago conference to craft a NAD code under the National Recovery Act to aid industry recovery.
