Woman pays overdue library fine with cookies at Rhode Island library
In Providence Leela Marsh 71 left a box of chocolate crackles and a note with her two books at Lincoln Public Library. Administrator Earleen Gamache waived the nickel daily fine and the staff split the cookies value. Marsh says she believed in the barter system and did not know the exact fine.
