Storms and Heat Wave Hit Ohio Farms and Cities
Storms and a heat wave swept Ohio with winds up to 65 miles per hour. Power outages affected about 500 homes in North Olmsted and Lorain County as transformers blew and lines fell. Rain, downed trees, and telephone outages disrupted farm work on a 1500 acre tract near Grafton and delayed flights at Cleveland-Hopkins Airport. Temperatures cooled as a high pressure system moved in, bringing drier conditions by Friday.
