Bank bandits seize $3000 in Rockford robbery

Fountain to bloom in Ely Park with 69 water streams
Ely Park will begin installation of an illuminated fountain this week with 69 water jets and five color lights. Frank Wilford of the Park Commission said bids are being received and the fountain should be operating within a month. Tax collections in Lorain County progress reported
Approximately one-third of the $3,000,000 in Lorain County taxes expected to be collected had been received today, county treasurer N. D. Backus announced. Spanish American War veterans file pension claims in Lorain County
Dozens of Spanish American War veterans in Lorain County are applying for increases under the June 2 1930 act. About one fourth of the county's roughly 150 veterans may qualify, with increases of five dollars monthly for those on 30 to 40 dollars and ten dollars for 40 to 50 dollar pensions. Glouster Fire Destroys Two Stores in Ohio Town
A blaze in Glouster Ohio destroyed two two story frame buildings in the business district with losses around 50000.
