Cement Shortage Misses Relief From Canadian Ship
Area contractors face limited relief from a Canadian cement ship that arrived in Cleveland and unloaded quickly. The shipment marks the first of several weekly loads aimed at easing a nationwide cement shortage, though local handling capacity may hinder rapid distribution. Executives from Denison Engineering and Brake Shoe Co. note they are not geared for bag cement, while local business leaders plan future sourcing and events.
