Overloaded Trucks Plague Ohio Highways

Columbus reports one in ten trucks on Ohio roads is overloaded and the pattern grows. State Highway Patrol Superintendent Gevueze Mingle cites 2524 arrests last year with $34,714 in fines, and 2244 arrests in the first five months of this year totaling $50,254. He notes definite state limits, annual highway cost from overloads, and drivers who knowingly exceed limits to profit before being checked by patrols.
