Lorain County Bank to open 12th office in North Ridgeville

Lorain County Bank aims to have its 12th county office operating in North Ridgeville by year end. President Robert T Bowman said regulators approved the second local branch at Emerald Street and Center Ridge Road. The full service branch will offer loans savings and checking accounts four drive ins and safe deposit boxes across from a proposed $2 million supermarket and mall by Rini Supermarkets Inc.

Regents pick temporary replacement for Norton

Ohio Board of Regents Vice Chancellor William B. Coulter was approved as acting chancellor until a replacement for James A Dolph Norton is chosen. Norton will stay as consultant through September and a board contract restores his salary briefly. The board also set a $119.2 million operating budget for 1979 and approved $689 million for debt service on campus capital bonds.
