In Columbus Ohio June 11 Halterman convicted of murdering his step brother and his wife was scheduled for execution by electric chair. Governor Donaher refused to intervene after the pardons board recommendation. The supreme court had declined review. Halterman said he was ready to die and prepared final letters, becoming one of Ohio's smallest inmates to face the chair. Special arrangements were required.
