County auditor reports $2,000 left in the tuberculosis building fund as commissioners sign bills to reduce it by about $1,000. They hint at transferring disputed funds to the bond retirement fund due to missing levies on $425,400 notes. Prosecutor Don W. Myers says funds could be returned if the original transactions had an error.
Police Chief FE J Stankard urged city officials and the council finance committee to cut minor traffic violation fines from $2 to $1. He argued the drop aligns with current price trends and could boost revenue since many offenders cannot afford the two dollars. Mayor VanQster echoed that $2 seems high for minor violations and the proposal will be presented at the next council meeting.
Camp Iss-See-Kes on the Vermilion River will open its 1932 summer season Monday morning with four lodge leaders announced. Chester Hunt, Bert Shafer, Paul Coniam, and Paul Taylor will supervise the four lodges and also serve as lifeguards at the camp pool. Forty-five boys are registered for the first 10 day period, with departure from the Elyria Y at 9 am by car. The camp, approved by the County Board of Health after improvements, is ready for the opening.

He declared a fundamental departure from parliamentary cabinets and urged unification of all forces for Germany's rebirth amid a desperate condition.

Frank Lanning known as Brickey, former Lorain County Building Trades Council secretary, was sentenced to one to 20 years in prison after pleading guilty to manslaughter in the seven year old killing in Millersburg Ohio. Sheriff Clarence Adams arrested him in Oberlin. He confessed at the time and favored trial. Several Lorain County residents testified at a Hamilton parole hearing citing Brickey's good local reputation.
Chicago June 11 The United Press reports President Hoover remains loyal to Vice President Curtis and the administration expects his renomination on strong authority.
Elyria Y M C A lobby becomes a colorful garden as the Elyria Garden Club opens its exhibit. Display runs today and tomorrow from 9 am to 4 pm with 75 varieties of peonies and many other flowers. Twenty eight exhibitors compete for awards. judges are Corning Ryals and Mrs Tenney of Oberdin.
Police seized dynamite with caps and fuse from a bed tick at the Anacostia Camp housing the Bonus Army veterans demanding bonus legislation. Two and a half sticks, six caps, and 50 feet of fuse were found. owner not located. Investigators to trace source and prevent more supplies as officers inspect incoming automobiles. The executive committee planned a meeting to consider sending reps to the Chicago conventions to push bonus planks.
The bonus army, with leaders like Walter W Waters and Harold B Foulkrod, plans to dispatch a committee to Chicago to push for $2 000 000 000 in veteran bonuses from both major parties. The move hinges on Monday's House vote, but thousands remain camped in Washington ready to stay.
In Franklin and other Ohio counties a drought could be worse than 1930 unless rain arrives. Farmers report rainfall well below two years ago and forecasts show little chance of rain over the coming weekend. Chairman Norbeck agreed to treat the material as executive session and allowed Bulkley a chance to present Eaton’s side before any public release.
DETROIT June 11 An anonymous call claiming friendship with Violet Sharpe led to the arrest and questioning of Robert Burns 20. Detectives Carr and Coar questioned Harry Fleisher for an hour and said Burns may be linked to the Lindbergh case but no evidence found.
The Baumhart road project in Henriette and Brownhelm townships will be improved from Route 59 to Middle Ridge road a two mile stretch at a cost of 12359 dollars. The Elyria Construction Company won the contract as the lowest bidder, announced by county commissioners.
Arrangements are complete for the eighth annual Summer Bible School at First Baptist Church. It opens Monday morning at 8 20 with a teaching staff covering kindergarten through ninth grade. The school is free to all city children aged five through nine.
Bulletin from Trenton reports Ernest Brinkert the taxicab driver who was with Violet Sharpe on the Lindbergh kidnapping night is being questioned at the Alpine New Jersey state police station. Col H Norman Schwarzkopf issued the bulletin.
The Cheney Pulp and Paper Company factory at Franklin was destroyed by fire after a blast, following a May 12 explosion that killed six. Owner How ard L. Cheney estimated losses at 30000 dollars, with spontaneous combustion suspected in stored paper and rags. Superintendent Dave Patrick, outside the building, heard a loud noise before the fire began.
Mamaroneck police and real estate man Claude W. Moody report a photo of Ernest Brinkert, Moody’s former butler, as the man linked to the Lindbergh kidnapping. Brinkert’s conflicting stories and a nearby ladder clue trigger Allied officials to inspect Moody’s pruning ladder, with state troopers to bring a ladder piece from Trenton for examination.
In Englewood New Jersey on June 11 Violet Sharpe a dining room girl at the Morrow home killed herself by poison. Mrs Dwight Morrow told friends she believed the girl was innocent yet frightened. The story continues on Page 2.
