Elyria schools face funding shortfall amid partial state aid
The district would receive only half of the $771,625 budgeted for 1978 and about $170,000 of new unanticipated state funds. North Ridgeville and Sheffield-Sheffield Lake districts anticipate modest relief, enough to restore some trimmed items and support salary negotiations. Officials caution approval is not guaranteed, but full funding of the foundation formula could add about $1.8 million to Lorain city schools.
