Wesling pursues dream to play two sports at Eastern Michigan
Wesling earned first team All-Lakeland and All-Northeastern Ohio honors as a quarterback, kicker, and defensive back and set school punting records. He helped Middies reach district finals in baseball and football, drawing interest from Giants, Phillies, Tigers, Dodgers, Reds, Indians, and Twins. A Giants scout noted 83 mph fastball, but Wesling aims to pitch at Eastern Michigan, where coaches will support dual sport play and further pitching development with better coaching. He envisions a pro baseball path, while acknowledging football offers early playing opportunities.
