Watkins back in cell after Lodi shootout
Escaped convict Edward Fast Eddie Watkins, once vowing no more prison, was wounded in a nine hour standoff near Lodi before being taken to hospital and then back into custody. He had fled a federal prison in Atlanta in April and is wanted on escape charges linked to bank robberies in Cleveland and Los Angeles.

Missing boy Ken Pittman found dead in Black River
The Lorain county coroner will rule on the cause of death of 10 year old Kenneth Pittman of 341 W River St North. His body was recovered from the Black River in Cascade Park Friday evening by firemen. Kenneth was a Roosevelt School third grader and attended Free Will Baptist Church. Surviving are his parents Mrs Betty Pittman and Troy Pittman a sister Carla brothers Roy Paul and Adam and grandparents Mrs Louis Lane Elyria and Troy Pittman Racine W Va. Services will be at the grandmother's home 901 Oberlin Road Elyria Monday at 10 30 a m with Rev Willis Donaldson officiating. Burial in Butternut Ridge Cemetery Fulton Funeral Home of Grafton handling arrangements.
