Archie Jones advocates and carries out a long term effort to transplant Liguus fasciatus color forms from shrinking hammocks to Everglades National Park. He aims to protect forms by creating distant colonies while noting threats from mosquito spray and ongoing development along the Gold Coast and Keys. The project coincides with warnings of higher death rates in Haiti versus the United States.
