Severe hail storm damages lines in Huron
In Huron Ohio on June 7 linemen worked to replace telegraph and telephone lines torn from poles after a brief wind and hail storm late yesterday. The near gale was preceded by darkness and heavy rain and hail that dropped temperatures about 15 degrees.

Prominent Canton Man and Wife Die in Orrville Crossing

In Brecksville Ohio early today 62 year old Sledz roadhouse owner shot and killed his wife 47 a notable Republican ward leader and welfare worker then killed himself. The double tragedy happened at the 22 room Brecksville roadhouse on a 17acre estate near Cleveland two years ago. Police believe jealousy and financial troubles motivated the killings. The Sledzs were prominent locally. the husband formerly ran a saloon in pre prohibition days and his brother is a former city official and deputy sheriff. Mrs Sledz had active roles in social welfare and Republican politics in southeast Cleveland.
