Friends remember Julia Haserodt on her 91st birthday May 26 after 50 years of faithful correspondence with relatives across the country. She received 40 cards and a cake inscribed Happy Birthday Julia, with her nephew William Schmittgen hosting a dinner at Center Ridge Road residence. Born May 26, 1871 in Ankara Turkey, she later moved to Cleveland, married Henry Haserodt who died three years ago, and returned to LaPorte Riverdale Rt 10 last November.
