Brain Twizzlers at Carnival Show Stows Hidden Pairs

A carnival side show uses a four-panel puzzle with twins described as blond and brunette to reveal the arrangement. The manager places four behind a screen and claims at least one boy next to a girl, a girl next to a boy, a boy next to a boy, and a brunette next to a brunette plus a brunette next to a blond, inviting the crowd to identify the four. A separate note states an enemy pursuit problem: if moving straight, times were 10 and 2 hours, and a midway course yields a catch in ? hours over 12 miles.
